The problem with polls is that you need a random sample to get reliable results and that's pretty much impossible. Leftists are always overrepresented because non-leftists know about the perceived concensus bullshit you mention and thus respond less. That makes it almost impossible for even an honest pollster to get accurate results.
2k is a solid sample size, but demographically it can barely even scratch the surface to get a real representative sample.
By the flaw of design surveys always lean Left heavily because they draw from students or the towns around universities. Even mailers are more likely to be mailed back by suburbanites or women, which also taint the data.
How about that stubborn support for Kamala Harris. I swear it seems like more Left-wingers would refuse to vote for Kamala Harris than Hillary Clinton.
