hahaha I'm on the spectrum and over 25 so I'm safe.
Ngl autism being non-waivable is pretty bullshit. I've seen dudes who are miles more weird and "unstable" than me get allowed in (one even got discharged since he developed schizophrenia while in) but, nope they never got any sort of official diagnosis of being a sperg when they were in elementary school so they get let in. Oh, but me, who no one would know is a sperg unless I mention it, I'm right out. No waivers for that!
Now, I wouldn't want to be in the military knowing the absolute state of it today, but finding out a childhood diagnosis that had absolutely 0 bearing on my life completely foreclosed any chance of being in still hurts.
I was precluded from service for similar reasons, something got my corporals attention and off the the shrink I went "something wrong with the way I think" apparently
This type of talk gives me a new understanding of the protests, draft dodging, etc. during Vietnam war in the 60s.
who do I have to shit on to get out of the draft?
