I remember a poll from last year that huge amounts of people, something like a third of the people polled, believed that if you got Covid you had a 50% chance of being hospitalized. Compared to the real world chance of about 2-3% that was listed at the time. Then they will talk about things like "long Covid," etc.
If you read how these people talk they truly believe that hundreds of thousands of people have died from it and are terrified of getting it. That's how they are still hysterical. If I thought it was a 50/50 shot end up in the hospital I'd probably be hysterical too, or well at least extremely cautious. Being hysterical about anything is an immature response.
Good points. I guess I can see it at the beginning but once you saw who were most affected and saw how covid didn’t seem to matter when you are protesting the approved causes I didn’t understand how people still took it seriously. But like you said if you watch a lot of mainstream news it’s understandable why you would see covid as the Black Death
