Yes. Ahri is Riot's take on the myth of the kitsune/gumiho/hulijing that originated in China and spread throughout east Asia.

Wukong is similarly adapted from Sun Wukong/Son Goku, the Monkey King.

I remember reading about Wukong as a kid, that is one great story. I remember reading it several times.

In todays culture he would be considered a toxic male.
