On the other hand if he finally stops expecting any large company match his values he'll be all the saner for it. If you want to make conscientious purchases, you have to be adaptive and skeptical, not trusting.
To paraphrase "Any organization that isn't explicitly based is probably cucked".
Nobody will be 100% in line with your values. But negotiating with yourself to balance your personal interests against your abstract principles isn't the same as compromising those values.
The best way is to just not consoom so much product. It's basically impossible not to fund woke shit even when you so much as buy toilet paper.
