Glad you put retrospective in quotes, but I'd rather just not use the word. It's not behind us, it's still very much in front of us until they answer for it all, especially the jabs. So I guess that's my number 1.
The other biggest thing that I learnt was that the sum of all scientific and medical learning doesn't amount to dogshit on my shoe. To the extent that anyone in those professions knows anything useful, they still can't be trusted to convey that knowledge to the public nor use it to benefit them. They would rather poison the human race and lie through grinning teeth, than openly agree that fire is hot and the sky is blue.
Those that would like to help inform their fellow man cannot ever do so effectively because all information channels are corrupted. The pandemic has made me downgrade my rating of all media and academia, from 'worthless' to 'hostile'. If they ever happen, miraculously, to give you the unvarnished truth on something, it's only because they can't avoid it or they're playing you with another goal in mind.
This sounds like I'm bitter but it's actually been a positive development; I've turned from a semi-nihilist rationalist into someone more spiritual. "And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free" - this works even if the Truth is that every single trusted institution is a bunch of lying cunts.
I got CCed on an email from a company nurse that explained that her certification required she use a flow chart of "the current science" and that relying on her own observations could jeopardize her employment.
Professional certification in general, and medicine in particular, is a joke.
