I was at the local used book store and found Harlan Ellison’s complete works for 5.99. I enjoyed A Boy and his Dog so I figured I would buy it. Was it a good buy?

I really like him, but tastes may vary.
Well I enjoyed the story I read and if I don’t like it then 5.99 isn’t a terrible loss.
thats almost enough to buy you a blue armor coating on halo infinite ripoff!
COMPLETE works? Actually, seriously, everything he ever got published?
If so, that's a phenomenal find.
I’m pretty sure that’s what it said. Maybe it was all his short stories and novellas. It was really thick
That’s what it looks like. It’s extremely thick
He was a good boi.
Ellison was a genius
I’ve heard great things about him.
I love A Boy and His Dog, old-school 60s-80s Sci-Fi is great, a lot of gems in there. My school library used to have the Science-Fiction Hall of Fame collections and I would read them all the time, if you can find any of them they’re chock full of a lot of really good stories including some from lesser-known authors. I don’t really know when the Hugo’s became pozzed exactly but if you stick to anytime before the early 2000’s you should be safe.
I have lots of Sci-Fi between 40s and 90s. I used to get Hugo anthologies til the sad puppy thing. That bookstore has a great inventory of books

Holy based
Thanks!
I wonder if Harlan Ellison and Jeremy Clarkson are long lost siblings.
