Being that I've been reading Brave New World, this just reinforces my thought that the book is the left's dream world. At least so far as I just started reading.

Or The Giver, where children are taken from their birth parents upon birth and raised by adults selected and trained to raise children

I think I read that in elementary school. I bet that's not a thing anymore.

I didn't pick up on it for the longest time. Five years or so ago I'd have been against homeschooling. It wasn't until the many kids of different school backgrounds in my family started growing up more that I started to notice. The homeschooler is far and away the best of the bunch. All kinds of different interests is the most noticeable things. The public school kids are just consoomers. Their life is go to school, come home and consoom from the tablet or from the TV. I've even tried with my nephew to get interested in other stuff, but if it's not coming from the YouTube it carries no weight. Only exception is the aforementioned resistor, but I'm really close with her because we are pretty much cloned personalities. She's also what leads me to believe school culture is why I went from happy little kid to quiet dejected weirdo pretty much only during my school years.
