For when they inevitably start screaming about how the Romans kept “slaves”, I would like to point out that not only did pretty much everyone keep slaves, at that point, but also they were not necessarily black, or even from Africa, and literally 5 minutes of research would clear that up…
Also, the word “slave”, which derives from Slav, had not been coined yet, and would not be, until ooh, 500 years after the fall of Rome… 🤦🏻♂️
Did the concept exist? Certainly. Did the Romans keep slaves? Irrefutably, yes. Will the wokies ignore every fact I just pointed out, and use it to their own ends, in a University, a literal ”place of learning”, no less, to suit their own claims of “white supremacy”..?
Oh I bet they will. 😑
The US is just the late Roman Empire, 2.0. Change my mind.
You are misinformed. Slavery did not exist until blacks were imported to America at precisely the moment it became a country. Slavery is solely the invention of and existed exclusively in the United States.
Or at least that’s what everyone seems to believe.
The same argument could be made for their charge of imperialism and colonialism. If you look at a map of the Roman Empire, you'll notice that most of it is in Europe.
