I'd say controlled opposition makes more sense. A honey pot would want to get a bunch of weirdos saying crazy shit so the feds could PM them and lure them into a fake bombing or something. GETTR seems more like it wants to corral "good" conservatives into one place and control the anti-establishment narrative so it doesn't get too anti-establishment.
