i don't know how you can look at the state of the country and think we're better off.
Being rich and living in tiny town that is far away from any and all effects of the country changing will do that.
It can't be stated just how divorced he is from the rest of the nation. He lives in a mansion in one of the least populated or even remembered states, in a town of barely 30k people, that are nearly all white New Englanders, of which he likely is treated like a King (ha). He is more gated community cultured than even Hollywood mega celebs.
When only a very small percentage of your income/wealth is used for just existing/consumables, your much less likely to notice, and/or care about any new financial hardships. Unfortunately, and as usual, the average joe/middle class American is the one who is hurt most by all of the “building back better” we’ve seen so far. It also doesn’t help that most Americans consoom way to much, and don’t know, or care to manage their money within their means. Combine this with the fact that most middle class Americans are now overworked, underpaid, and overtaxed, and here we are. Shits only going to get worse. Prepare accordingly frens.
