Oddly, you’re right about at least one thing: the RSL, which started out as men only (I guess they let the nurses in, sometimes), the Navy Club AND the former “Working Men’s Club” (latterly the “Workers Club”), in my city were ALL forced to admit women, then become “family friendly”, and now, every single one is broke…
Two out of three are being turned into Chinese apartments, and “social housing” (because the government would rather buy the workers club out, than allow it to continue to exist)…
It’s extraordinary. “Opening up” the spaces completely obliterated them. Meanwhile the notably still segregated “upper class” “ladies and gentlemens” clubs still exist, and still make tonnes of money…

Eventually they don't accept it though, and claim for huge and unsustainable payments, like the $100m they grifted from Riot Games recently.
