doesnt matter. but what his saying still has merit. the outsourcing of aninators to china/korea is just getting worse every year. and now Jp's own government is starting to seriousy crack down on their own industry.
Tomino may be an old fart. But his not weighing down an industry like japan's boomer buisinessmen.
Japan was never advanced in terms of animation. They are advanced in terms of the appeal they're able to give it.
Japan has a few examples of cucking itself in anime to sell to the West. There has been a lot of resistance to censorship from creators as well. We'll have to wait and watch the sales for manga to see if they went Woke and went Broke.
Only because Japan went all "Just Say No" to nukes and Tojo lost.
