They are not. The moment someone can figure out how to post something both on-topic and IRL, there's always some kind of virtue signalling. The only upside (if you can even call it that) is that it's not usually a daily occurrence.

I don't get it. The local boards are the worst, unless yours is one of the rare ones. The ones for obscure hobby's might be ok still.
