A ludicrous notion. Nazis and Communists were alike in every way that mattered. If we had more of one and less of the other we would not notice any difference at all at scale. Thinking Socialism is the cure to Communism is a silly, silly mistake.
And it is very hard to argue that Communists behaved 'worse' during WW2 because it was Socialists projecting power at the time. We tend to disfavor defeated aggressors.

They behaved worse before, during, and after. We should have saved the second nuke for Stalin.
