Are you kidding? I finished the books earlier this year and it’s pretty clear the prophecy states that it is a man. This is the problem when you don’t hire people who actually want to adapt the book but instead take a crap on the source material and only talks about representation
Prophecy? Forget that, the whole goddamn story doesn't make sense if the Dragon Reborn can be a woman. So much of the plot requires the duality between men and women in order for it to work- mostly because male channelling turns the men literally insane.
