What is Bill Gates plan to actually get people to eat this stuff?
Legislative fiat, I imagine. In BillG's world, the shops will be legally compelled to stock this instead of actual meat.
The problem with offering little people like ourselves freedom and choice, you see, is that we sometimes misuse it. It's much more efficient if that's taken away from us. For our own good. For the greater good!
I still think they will start by out pricing the cost for normal meat with taxes and such before completely banning it for the plebs, just unsure if they will go for production, packaging or the distribution first.
I'd imagine distribution. I don't imagine that would-be aristocrats like BillG will want meat actually gone, just not on the table for the likes of you and me.
Toad in the hole or sausage toad is a traditional English dish consisting of sausages in Yorkshire pudding batter, usually served with onion gravy and vegetables. Historically, the dish has also been prepared using other meats, such as rump steak and lamb's kidney.
Cripes, for a meatless burger, you don't even need to use that overprocessed green goo. Lentils boiled, mashed, spiced, and fried up in patties can do the same thing for much cheaper (and probably tastes better.) It's great when you're poor and sick of pasta.

My guess is that they'll finagle a way to either take it off the shelves or drive the price up so high that it becomes unaffordable.
