Honestly, not being able to breathe properly is the worst bit, I think, so far…
That and the insomnia, yes.
But cheers, ha. I’m doing my best to cope, lololol…
I really, really want to avoid more invasive shit…
Spinal tap (I wish it was the band/mockumentary, but sadly not), yesterday gave me a new appreciation of just how fucked pregnancy must be, if THAT’s how bad an epidural, sort of, on its own, is…
Like Jesus Christ, how does ANYONE get used to that??! 😳
And that’s WITHOUT the labor and contractions, of course…
Sorry, I don't actually know anything that attenuates the side effects of high-dose steroids, other than the fact that their use is temporary.
The synthetic steroids they give for things like MS flares are really just artificial analogues to mimic the same stress hormones produced by your own adrenal glands in response to a crisis.
They do work as intended most of the time, so I'd encourage you to whiteknuckle through it. The silver lining as well, other than the medication being temporary, is that the human body is amazing and will naturally adapt to most conditions, so side effects should dampen the longer you are on the medication, especially since it's something already endogenous to the body.
And I do jest, but I’m not actually joking, in this case…
I quite literally don’t think I’ve ever felt more sick in my life. 😑
I don’t recommend high dose immuno-suppressing drugs, if you can avoid, I’ll say that much…
It’s been a wild, wild 5 or so days…
That sucks.
I forgot mania and insomnia were other not-so-fun steroid effects.

I can see why maternity leave is a thing, lol…
Jesus dude, sorry to hijack this (again), but any tips, seeing as you do seem to know a bit about this stuff..?
Steroids have literally made me feel like I’m dying, and I literally can’t even muster the energy to reply to people here, lol…
I guess I should just (try to) rest and take it easy, hey? 😐
Can’t work. Can’t read properly. Doesn’t seem like I can do much else, at least for another couple of days…
Oh, except get the Coof shot, of course. The fuckers STILL want me to do that, this week, even while I’m already a fucking human pincushion, lol… 😑
I know your land of trees is even worse right now, but holy FUCK I hate “my” country, at this point, especially right now… 🤬
