No one gets to whine that people don't find him attractive. Instead, both groups should work to improve themselves and be less repellent.
To be clear: I'm not giving anyone sympathy for whining about not being found attractive. But a woman who is single because she has high standards, that's actually pretty good. If more people had standards, maybe others would be forced to better themselves.
It's good for women to be hypocrites? It only makes sense to have similar standards for others that you hold for yourself. The "average" woman who insists on wanting a top 20% man, is not a woman fit for the top 20% man.
Also, it's more like the top 1% man now, based on Tinder swipe data.
I completely agree with everything you just said, but the women the article talks about still aren't involuntary celibates. They do have options despite not liking those options, so their celibacy is voluntary whether it's a good thing or not. That's the point I tried to make in my top comment, although I kind of got sidetracked with my rant about the double standard.
I imagine it's voluntary for everyone. No doubt the male incels can get some fat crack addict to be their girlfriend, but they have some standards at the very lesat.
