Social media is doing a lot of harm towards children.. honestly, internet should be 18+. It should be anyways.
When it was harder to use, before smartphones, there was a natural gatekeeping that kept the less intelligent offline, which often correlated with being more mature. (not necessarily over 18, and not always true judging by the Usenet flame wars)
