Honestly that probably wouldn't be a bad idea. There's a really great writeup from an old reddit post where the based redditor explains why it was bad. I wish I had it saved. Maybe someone else does.
Though of course I think that'd be a good idea, most people shouldn't have the ability to vote imo.
The optics position is something like "voting should be reserved for net taxpayers and those who have shown willingness to sacrifice for their fellow citizens"
That would effectively remove voting from most women, students, and those who live off of welfare, unemployment, and disability. And shift the voting base significantly rightwards.
