One of the highlights of the video is when she tells a story about a bus shuttling Officers to a protest, she mentions that while giving a quick speech before they arrived, the Senior Police Officer in charge informed all of the other officers: "Don't worry, any and all use of force will be justified by me."
There's a lot of good gems in this video for anyone who's been following the Totalitarian Aussie Saga.
I'm more surprised it's taken this long for literally anyone to grow a damn spine and speak up. Even more so when she mentions that the vast majority of Police disagree with what's taking place.
Well, they're doing a pretty shitty job of showing that.
That’s why she did the interview, imo. She wanted to break that perception and try to bring people together against the government instead, before it goes too far.
Considering the other government officials resigning, I am starting to think there may be something going on. Probably that they are starting to admit to themselves that it was absolutely an international embarrassment what they were doing, and also that the harder they beat people the more they were willing to rise up. And I think the reason you have seen so many governments start walking back their mandates and lockdowns is because they are starting to reach the end of their methods. And their surveillance (legal or otherwise) is starting to say that there is an uncontrollably large amount of people entering "no more fucks to give" territory.
She may start acting as a conduit for other dissatisfied police officers to take action as well. Or not. But every little step in the right direction is still better than nothing. Ideally doctors and nurses would also be questioning the government and then when everyone is united against them, much larger protests can start taking place to replace the government.
A faction of the Aussie government is pulling the ripcord here. They've realized they're moving towards violent revolution, and need an alternative that's better for them.
Not necessarily better for the average Australian, but better for their ruling class.

So, is any of this actually new news? We already know the Aus police are acting like jackboots and violating people's privacy and rights.

The problem isn't just Policing in Victoria. It's nation wide across Australia.
