In a statement, the hospital system said studies indicate the mortality rate for transplant recipients who test positive for COVID ranges from 18% to 32%, compared to a 1.6% mortality rate among all people who have tested positive.
That sounds like they compared transplant patients to a normal population
1.6% mortality rate for all people who have tested positive
Possibly their most misleading statistic. Prior to 2020, flu mortality rates were calculated using the infection fatality rate (IFR) which is typically around one tenth of the case fatility rate (CSR). They "spontaneously" decided to start counting covid deaths using the CFR instead, yielding wildly exaggerated and panic-inducing data. In reality, the death rate for covid is probably closer to 0.16%.
the mortality rate for transplant recipients who test positive for COVID ranges from 18% to 32%
More garbage statistics. What is the death rate for transplant patients overall? What is the death rate for unvaccinated transplant patients who test positive for covid 19? These "18-32%" and "1.6%" figures do not represent a valid comparison.
Note also that they're assuming that the jab will help reduce covid cases; they don't mention anything about how mortality rates are specifically affected by the jab.
This is especially important because it's looking like the jab will be a bi-yearly procedure at this point and we know it raises the chance of contracting covid for two weeks after getting it.
It's also worth noting that, in many places, covid patients are treated with immunosupressants; I wonder if organ recipients are simply having their immune systems completely destroyed.
