Yesterday, the US House passed a bill providing for anti-missile defense systems in Israel. Very few opposed it. Some voted present. One voted no, then present. That was AOC.
Here is how the Walter Duranty New York Times reported it:
Minutes before the vote closed, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez tearfully huddled with her allies before switching her vote to “present.” The tableau underscored how wrenching the vote was for even outspoken progressives, who have been caught between their principles and the still powerful pro-Israel voices in their party, such as influential lobbyists and rabbis. (A spokesman for Ms. Ocasio-Cortez declined to comment on her change of position.) source
I don't care about the merits of this. But the NYT unceremoniously memoryholed this. It now reads:
Minutes before the vote closed, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez tearfully huddled with her allies before switching her vote to “present.” The tableau underscored how wrenching the vote was for even outspoken progressives, who have been caught between their principles and the still powerful pro-Israel voices in their party. (A spokesman for Ms. Ocasio-Cortez declined to comment on her change of position.) source
No update notice. Just memoryholed. Never existed. Where would we be without archives?
This is the only article covering it. It is from Fox News. I made it a self post so that I could link to the articles in question.
How is this a nice find for you and Antonio? A major politician who opposes Israel was forced to change her vote, and a major newspaper reporting on this was forced to change it's story. This is a gigantic L for both of you, and you're here pretending the exact opposite. Everyone who disagrees with you is laughing.
Where are you getting the 'force' part?
And this. The WD-New York Times is notorious for changing headlines and articles based on social media nonsense. Or are you going to blame that on da Jooooz as well?
Because it is a conspiracy theory as real as the Irish cabal?
Is there one today?
