Taking the time to become as informed as I can, while simultaneously learning the intricacies of the science and medicine involved is something I feel everyone should at least try to do at some level. If only so they can create a list of questions that they would like to ask their Doctor in order to become further educated or to see if they're even competent to begin with.

I imagine there are a lot of profession you distrust for some reason.
That would explain the rise in medical "accidents". Nobody's better at killing people and pretending to be innocent.
Teachers, therapists, politicians, police, "sex workers", lawyers, nurses, HR people...I could keep going for a while.
