I saw this on the Faggit sub and this really needs to be seen here. They are banning people from leaving campus, and purporting to tell people who live off campus what they can and can't do with property they pay to either rent or own. This really hits close to home for me as someone who attends grad school in a blue shit hole.
Since this isn't Faggit I'll come right and say it. I own guns. One of the reasons I live off campus is so I can keep guns in my place. I also pack heat while on campus. False imprisonment is a crime, and this is a hill I would die on if it came down to it. Some self appointed commissar doesn't get to tell people how to use properties they pay the fucking bills for, and they certainly don't get to restrain their freedom of movement. They're eventually gonna try this on the wrong person, and someone's gonna die. There are men who are free and there men who are not, and willingness to stand up separates the two. I don't think these weak ass men who have never encountered a challenge in their lives know what they're up against understand how badly it will end for them if they take things as far as they seem poised to.
Thinking back to my university days, I'm not even sure how they would have kept people from leaving the dorms/university if they wanted to. The dorm doors couldn't be locked from the inside, there were no road barriers preventing vehicular exit from the university, and the university itself wasn't designed to prevent free movement to/from university property and the surrounding town on foot.
Even if they posted police officers at the door letting you out of the dorm "I'm going out to get lunch", then go to your car and leave. Or walk and catch a cab once you're off-campus. How would they know you left?
That's why they have snitches. That way if you're dumb enough to post your "illicit" activity on social media they can find out.
