What I'll never get over with the Anglos, is that most of their police seem to be just as on board with this nonsense as their masters. I've heard of little to no dissent in the ranks. How in the world did they manage that?
Simple: Most UK police will never ever have to deal with a suspect holding a gun.
You get a very, very different pool of recruits when people know their change of being killed in the line of duty is close to zero.
Out of living memory, apparently.
I can't remember the last time they killed a cop outside Northern Ireland. Probably over a decade ago.
This list omits Northern Ireland.
Now imagine the American list alongside it.
