There was an article in the New England Journal of Medicine that used the word "talisman" to describe their efficacy. Many people have made that association.

Now that you mention it, yeah I vaguely remember seeing talk like that elsewhere.

All of that got pushed aside by the crap I saw in the BLM riots. Still can't get over the grotesque foot washing pictures. Their symbolism couldn't've been more worrying.
