Someone needs to create porn for children. Hear me out
Young teens are already watching porn but theyre finding hard core, aggressive videos that give a terrible view of sex. They need entry level porn! A soft core site where everyone asks for consent and no one gets choked etc
To clarify- children means under 18. I'm talking about 14/15/16 year olds.
Half an hour later...
Absolutely not getting swept up into another twitter cesspool so deleted tweet before it picks up steam! Obviously not an actual solution, but it is a real problem. Everyone take a deep breath
Responded to another blue-check - former journo now Deputy Director for Twitter Trends Nicola Keaney (🌈 | she/her), who says "I really do think the consent idea is brilliant": https://archive.ph/72quB
That's literally all i meant! there should be porn that focusses on consent etc, and we should stop pretending that under 18 year olds aren't watching it. But i get that my wording was.... abysmal

apropos of nothing I really think if someone quickly deletes a tweet, it shouldn't be screenshotted and shared like... just let it die, you know? no? no one else agree?
Actually it's fine, when they delete the tweet it goes full Streisand Effect.
unfamiliar with streisand effect.
It's a rule of thumb stating that when you delete something or lobby for it to be erased and censored, it's more likely to be seen and spread around because of the fact you're trying to delete it.
It comes from Barbara Streisand trying to get a picture of her mansion "removed from the internet" and as a result the picture got plastered everywhere, when most people probably wouldn't have cared to see it otherwise.
Ah nice. Thanks for the explanation!
