They think that a much larger percentage of the population are gay or "lean gay" than everyone lets on. Those kids just need to be educated (read: groomed) to understand their sexuality.
On the other hand, they insist someone couldn't possibly think they're gay without it being true. I remember some famous lesbian comedian saying "I knew my sexual orientation from a young age. I tried to ignore my feelings but they wouldn't go away. No teen would ever want to be gay or lesbian."
Which was unbelievable to me even as a preteen, when tons of girls in school were already bragging about being lesbian or bisexual with no pushback from any other kids or adults.
Now my nieces are "non binary" whatever the fuck that means.
My shitpost take is it translates to "look at me"
More serious shitpost, having a "gEnDeR" is chic right now so if you're a tomboy and aren't fully duped into thinking you're actually supposed to be a man then you say you're the next level down, non-binary.
It's all bullshit and really lets you know who to avoid, which is nice, but ugh. Yet more proof of the ongoing tomboycide
