Agreed there are things we can do now to make the current school system better.
But your goal to prevent "racist assholes" is still playing by their rules. If you blindly accept "racism bad" then you cede control to whoever is defining what "racism" is. That was the case for a while there was universal agreement "racism bad". The other side twisted that into "only white people can be racist" and "all white people are racist unless they are forwarding our political agenda" and got it to stick by accusing anyone who disagreed with them as "racist" which has been pounded into the culture as the worst thing a person could be.
Instead the goal should be kill the "racist" label itself. Make it meaningless just like "savage", "barbarian" or "heathen" isn't really used as a pejorative now.
We need some way to get social acceptance of really normal feelings like "I feel more comfortable around people of my race" and "I don't want to date anyone outside of my race" and "I feel safer in neighborhoods that are mostly my race". Right now white people can't publicly express these things and keep a job in government or at any business bigger than a mom and pop.
I don't blindly accept "racism bad." I see racism as a bad use of statistics. I agree that it should be treated as a meaningless label when used as an attack by communists, though.
Who said anything about corporate schools either? LOCAL schools, church schools, individual tutors, groups of mothers handling the primary education for their children.
Not necessarily. Churches are usually funded locally and aren't a function of government. A school could be funded in a similar semi-coercive model.
That said, the bigger issue is that if it's a "school" with "teachers", most states require the teachers be credentialed. Which means they've gone to all the same schools and probably believe the same things as the public school teachers.
There shouldnt be a "public" school system in the first place.
While we work on destroying it, though, better that it not indoctrinate students to become racist assholes.
