It's pretty transparent. Hungary and Poland often back each other up against leftist bullshit from the Eurocrats. Brussels wants one of them removed so they can't veto in favor of the other anymore, so that they can force whichever remains to bow.
The best move is to tell them to eat shit, stay right where they are, and tack on more anti pedo laws. The EU has no realistic means to remove members.
Hungary and Poland are Catholic USSR vassal bros, they both know what it's like to have an atheistic world power clamp their nuts while the world just watches.
Hungary and Poland have a very long history and the Soviet Union has little to do with that (but does some, namely 1956).
