You are incredibly underestimating Scott himself in terms of his empire and self preservation. He didn't avoid the cancel mob this long by being stupid.
You're being daft.
They cancelled the President of the United States of America in Donald Trump.
If they no longer want Scott making money from FNAF, they will cancel him, too.
It happened in ComicsGate when some of the indie comic publishers tried to distribute their comics to retailers and they had it cut off via Diamond.
It happened with consumer products like MyPillow being dropped by major retailers.
It happened with the leader of the Proud Boys having his and his wife's bank accounts blacklisted by Chase.
This idea that somehow Scott Cawthorn is above the zeitgeist isn't just stupid, it's a blatant show of how uneducated you are about how much control they have over society.
Right now they put a soft target on Scott for being a Conservative, but if he ever steps out of line enough to warrant them canceling his empire, they absolutely can. They've cancelled much bigger people than him.
You remind me of the Lolbertarians that said "LOL guys, don't worry about Twitter or Facebook, just make your own." and we saw how alternative media either gets shunned enough by the open market where it practically lives on the dark web (e.g., Gab), cancelled by Big tech before it can even garner market share (e.g., Parler), or slowly pelted by legal authorities until it mirrors other Big Tech portals (e.g., BitChute).
The problem is that people like you still don't get it.
So now we've moved from "they wont allow him to sell video games" to "they will completely unleash Trump level destruction on him." See that's a whole different level of the discussion where you just keep adding new levels to make sure you are able to keep your soapbox going.
I get it, I've been here far longer than you have I promise. You just want to rant angrily at everyone.
So now we've moved from "they wont allow him to sell video games" to "they will completely unleash Trump level destruction on him."
I never said that. I used Trump as an example that no one is above canceling. Pay attention.
See that's a whole different level of the discussion where you just keep adding new levels to make sure you are able to keep your soapbox going.
No, it's not.
It's explaining to numbskulls that just because Scott made millions and has enough to take care of himself and his family does not mean he's above cancellation.
You apparently didn't read anything I wrote in my last comments because I made that explicitly clear.
I get it, I've been here far longer than you have I promise. You just want to rant angrily at everyone.
No, I clearly explained why you hold a very distorted and wrong view of how society works and you decided to prevaricate with nonsense.
Instead of licking your wounds with a non-sequitur you need to acknowledge that having a successful game + merchandise =/= indemnification from SJW cancellation.
That was literally my point. I have no idea how you got any of that other nonsense out of the two comments I made about Scott and what COULD happen if SJWs decide to cancel him.
We are on our own 'Reddit' right now. While yes, Reddit is still the much larger website and we may not like it, it is however important to make sure we point our finger in the right direction. Private websites having control of their platform is not it.
Your argument falls apart when not only are these not-so-private companies engaging political manipulation and election interference, but they're also engaging in antitrust violations with ZERO recourse.
Again, it's the Lolbertarian approach as if there's an even playing field or as if the enemy is respecting the rules. This is why the West is losing its culture.
I'm completely against companies using governments to strong arm their way out of having to compete. My proposed solution is to make it so governments do not have the authority / ability to offer anything to companies. Governments should stay out of the economy. Still, private (actually private) companies should have the option to run their websites however way they see fit.

That's true.
This is not.
Google takes government contracts, meaning taxpayer dollars, meaning it's no longer the "private company can do whatever they want."

Yet somehow they're bigger and have more information control than any nation on the face of the planet.
Google also engaged in election meddling by refusing to allow some candidates to advertise or run certain ads: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/300-trump-ads-taken-down-by-google-youtube-60-minutes-2019-12-01/

So not only are they using taxpayer dollars, but now they're violating election laws right in the open: https://www.mtsu.edu/first-amendment/article/949/equal-time-rule
When did private corporations get carte blanche to break the law? Influence elections and dictate commerce above board?
Worse yet is that companies like Facebook also have government contracts, which means they're still using taxpayer dollars while stifling speech and engaging in social engineering tactics: https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/thousands-contracts-highlight-quiet-ties-between-big-tech-u-s-n1233171
