It's probably just a rumor, while there WILL be woke stuff in it (cause it's Netflix on 2021) it will be more inline with Invincible, so probably a member of the supporting cast will be absurdly woke and/or race swaped.
Ah the Witcher approach. Early release to tease some info and see how badly the backlash would be then actually implement something not as bad which was the plan all along.
Hard to say really, it's a bit different with animated shows since they take so long to make (about 2-3 years), so you can't really make sweeping changes (you can change the dialogue, but not much else)
Possibly, Invincible doesn't really look that different at all from his earlier comic appearances [since the artists changed over the 144 issues and some were... crap] so even changing his mother to asian wouldn't mean much difference. Rex and Rudy however is a very noticeable one. Oh and also comic wise they're redheads again ?
See? I just took a wild guess and I was right lol. Haven't been keeping up with news about this show at all. She will probably be near perfect, a love interest and more "masculine" than he-man. But aside from that? I doubt they will shit too much on him, they want to sell toys after all.
Yeah I am going to wait and see. The trailer looked alright but yeah... I could see netflix putting a lot of junk in there that wouldn't be in the trailer.
No, it won't. Kevin Smith already revealed some time ago during a convention that it would focus on Teela instead of He-Man, and it's more about her adventures than his. He later made a post (or someone did) after some backlash and clarified that it was still going to be about He-Man, but the cat was already out of the bag because he was on camera reading the description. And the description clearly sounded like He-Man would be a secondary character in his own story next to Teela.

Well, isn't one of the female characters black now?

And what do you know... yes it is the red head too I think I heard that got race swapped xD
I mean this is downright more than a coincidence at this point....
It's the red haired one, isn't it?

It may end up ok who knows.
