I wonder why all these Chinese "atrocities" are coming to light.

Considering how China has a lot of influence over media/academia/etc, I think it is quite unlikely that China will even get the appropriate amount of blame. That said, I also think that folks like Fauci will get away with it.
What, you expect pawns of the ruling class to be held accountable for their misdeeds? The oligarchs will make sure that this does not happen. My prediction (see, you can hold this against me if I turn out to be wrong) is that they will have Covid amnesia. The people are tired of it as well, and they will be all too happy to forget about it all. Some brave souls will continue to research and talk about it, and they will be demonized.
As I said, it would not surprise me at all if they did say something like that. It does sound like something they would say. But as I also said, they try to use every crisis and everything to push their agenda.
I doubt that. China can try to wield their influence, but at the very least will take heavy economic sanctions and a destruction of public image from this. Meanwhile Zhengli, Yanyi and Fauci will dodge any consequences.
I can't imagine that being very likely. How can people forget about Covid? What can they say to make that happen? Everyone who is listening to the media is still scared of it. I suppose they could say the vaccine stopped it and we can go back to normal. But then they wouldn't get to try and push the vaccine on people, and get those big Pfizer checks.
I'm sure he said it. Maybe the video got deleted? I've been looking forever and there's videos where he hints to women gaining from it, but none where he openly states that.
Yes, you're right. There's an entire section for it on the U.N's website here: https://www.unwomen.org/en/news/in-focus/in-focus-gender-equality-in-covid-19-response
Take your pick.
No one can afford to impose economic sanctions that will have any effect on China. As for public image, they don't really care anymore. They don't need to care. I think you grossly overestimate the damage to China.
They've turned on a dime before. As soon as it no longer serves their interests to talk about it, they will shut up about it. Just like the 'Russia collusion' disappeared overnight.
For now, they are, but I'm talking about when things return to normal. I'd say 6 months, but at most 1 year. By that time, no one will care anymore. Unfortunately. Lack of memory is one of our chief problems. That is why media outlets can tell lie after lie without any accountability.
Doesn't even matter. We both know that it's what the organization is about, even if it is not stated explicitly.
