This is the problem with centralized licensing authorities. (and centralization in general) More targets for the commies to attack and infiltrate.
There should be many independent medical schools with varying ideologies and no need for approval by a government agency.
Nassim Nicholas Taleb's evergreen essay 'The Most Intolerant Wins' is relevant here. It takes a very small proportion to take over an institution. So the larger an organization is, the more likely it is that this critical threshold of 3% is reached.
I think you grossly overestimate the extent to which you can vet people prior to hiring.
