I think you grossly overestimate the extent to which you can vet people prior to hiring.
That will only hurt the company. If you limit your pool of 'talent' to 9% of the population, you're simply not going to be able to fill the vacancies. And justice will run its course.
Helping the company’s bottom line is not their agenda. Raiding corporate assets to fill the pockets of their allies is their agenda.
This shit was even starting at the company my wife works at, which is a Midwestern trucking company. Didn’t manifest until the first of the millennials got into director positions and jr. VP’s.
Only thing that saved the company was the fact my wife was in employment law litigation before going corporate and all their hiring policies et. al. Had to go through her and she was able to stonewall them as the board listened to my wife over the HR director. So much so that the director of HR left to go elsewhere. She was replaced by a middle aged man now heading up HR.
That may well be true of HR, but that means that they destroy every company that they join. So that is good at least.
