I actually don't think this was supposed to happen. I think there were maybe a hand-full of agitators, an absolute shitload of angry people, and a stunned security apparatus that didn't seem to know how to respond to the idea of right-wingers operating in open defiance of authority
The response from the establishment at the time was absolute fucking panic as the utterly unthinkable happened: the plebs violated the temple of the anointed and there was zero actual organization to cause it.
Was it exploited for their purposes, sure. But the scariest part for the establishment is that they probably had absolutely no warning, and it appears to have been genuine grass-roots outrage.
That's why they sent troops and police into every single state capitol building. They had no idea what they were fighting, and what they were fighting just seized the capitol building with 1 death. ... That's really bad, and demonstrates the real lack of hard power that the establishment has.
Just a test comment to see if this will become visible in the main thread.
I see it.
In the full comment thread? Cause I see nothing, trying to figure out why your comment seems to be missing, adding my comment to it did not help make it visible.
What the hell? I don't even see the thread we were talking on...
