Of course they cover a woman doing it.
God forbid that we even hint towards men being victims of anything.
From what I understand women are effected a lot more then guys are. Sweden had a 1500% spike or something like that of girls transitioning. Honestly this is the only reason that we hear more and more critics against child transitioning.
If it would have affected only men there would have been no serious push against it.
Fair enough, and I've heard this stat repeated many times.
But what's the corresponding statistic for boys? And what are the absolute numbers?
Because another one that I hear a lot is, "girls' suicide rates have increased by 20% but boys' are only up 3%!" Which is all well and good, but boys have a suicide rate that is already several times that of girls, so relative increases don't really tell you what's going on. (numbers not correct, but close enough, and meant to be illustrative)
Percentages also don't mean anything without a solid base figure to work from and both figures have to work from the same base.
They could easily argue 20% rise because an additional 1 in 5 women are committing suicide, compare to a mere 3 in 100 men.
In reality 3x as many men is the increase, but the percentages are switched because the base numbers are off.
