I recently created a thread asking about how to find non woke movies and most people seem to prefer not to watch anything right now. I do not agree on the sentiment, I think that instead of isolating ourselves from the media we should just be smarter on how we filter and promote things that we like.
So to cut it short, if I build a website where you can easily filter out things like movies released in 2021, are action movies, have more than 7 score in imdb and have a "woke" score provided by selected people (not community driven to avoid infiltration) that is lower than 3... would you find it useful? The same could be used to search what "wokeness" score a particular movie had.
I think this could also be applied in the future to other medias, companies, products etc. But I don't want to build it if the general sentiment is "all new movies are bad" or "you should just do your own research"
Of all my friends, I don't know of a single one that regularly consumes media coming out of Hollywood. We consume plenty of older media and support indie games and films. There is rarely a good film that comes out, I would say a one every other year, that I'll watch. (A quiet place being the latest movie, but I have low hopes for it's sequel)
I understand that might be the case, but this is just ensuring the current market only promotes woke stuff. If those who don't like it consume less and less, they will have to make even more woke stuff since its the only thing people consume.
That's not how markets work at all lol
Of course that is how it works, if you have 5 movies, 3 of which are super woke, 1 which is a bit woke and one that is not woke at all, and they all get similar amount of people watching it, then the market knows that being woke impacting their revenue. Now if people would filter out woke movies and the non woke ones got more revenue, the market would adjust.
