They can afford to lose a lot more than that. Here's me hoping this is just the start.
I think they already are. Haven't they already been caught cooking the books? It's a pretty common tactic in large scale business to use dirty methods like firing lots of staff before the quarterly earnings report to make it look better. I'm not waiting for them to 'start losing money', I'm waiting for them to run out of ideas to hide just how much they're losing.
I hadn't heard anything about them cooking the books, but I do know the lock downs certainly weren't helping to keep their theme parks profitable. That would definitely be a pleasant surprise for me if they did go under.
3.9% decrease.
This is disappointing, way too many White people OK with getting reemed in the bad place by woke companies still.
the drop isn't yet enough for them to stop being woke
They will never stop being woke. Investors will keep pumping money into Disney at a loss in order to enable them to keep producing woke shit. This is no longer about profit, because it's no longer about capitalism.
It's way too early to make that assumption. Disney lost money last year, but that was an extraordinary year that does not reflect the core health of the company and its IP. If Disney keeps losing money post-COVID but is still propped up by investors, then I'll agree with you, but Disney is still the one paying sedition welfare to other wokists and not a recipient itself.
On top of everything else they've been hit with...like the old What do you call 50 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean, it's a good start.
