I don't see how that's true. Sure, you can't boycott every enemy (You have to pick a Big Tech poison for example, either Google or Microsoft) but you can try your best to avoid the non-essential products they offer. I'd say a remaster of a game that was a thing forever ago and is already backwards compatible is pretty non-essential.

That doesn't change the fact that if you don't buy EA titles, you aren't funding the company. You aren't helping their sales figures and you aren't keeping them afloat.
