It's not "climate change" we have to worry about. It's anrthopogenic systemic ecosystem abuse and replacement of other species with machines that we have to worry about. (Yeah, if one looks at history, both natural history and human, it's almost like they planned on getting rid of birds just at the time airplanes were set to take over the sky.) They want to whine about "genocide", well, roadkill is a multispecies genocide that everyone ignores because they're too busy paving over and polluting their environment while looking at the sky like chicken little.
While the numbers of animals directly murdered by roads, air-travel, windmills, and cats are fucking astronomical, I don't think that that is leading to an extermination of those species. Yes, there is a "wolves move rivers" effect going on, but that's also a relationship to the fact that our human ecosystem is dominating other ecosystems. It's less of a need to limit the human ecosystem, and more of a need to simply diversify it a bit.
