It does seem weird, but there are muslims in India, and he has the beanie they like to wear in a few of his pics.

I know there are Muslims in India. They have distinctive name. Patel is a very famous Hindu name.

It's not unheard of. The clothes, facial hair, and hat are distinctly muslim, though.
