This is just infantile complaining on the part of Trump, as he's not getting rid of McConnell and Pence by saying this. Instead, he's making sure that they're aware that he hasn't gotten over his bitterness, and ensuring that they'll probably do everything to sabotage him going forward.

Edit: If Trump could set aside his ego, this would be the ideal situation for DeSantis. Let Trump be the mouthy attack dog going after literally anyone and anything while DeSantis keeps his hands mostly clean in a presidential run. However I don't believe Trump will abstain from the primaries in 3 years
