The issue is the same banner, different meanings. The current usage is a supremacist & Marxist definition, but what has allowed it success is that primary social definition (what people perceived it as) was one of egalitarianism.
This is the same with racism & anti-racism. What allowed to current success of the Marxists usage of the word, is that people were convinced of the old definition, and didn't look further into the actions made under it, promoting the very thing they were against.
The video I linked was of a woman who created the first womens' shelter (in name) in the UK. She could be seen as the egalitarian definition. She stated that back then, Marxists noticed they were having little success as "Marxists," but people supported feminism, so they became "feminists." They were still Marxists, but now they were being granted money and power by applying a different word, with a different social understanding than Marxism. Pizzy isn't allowed on the steps of her own womens' shelters because of how this infiltration progressed, and has received heavy pushback for trying to create mens' shelters.
There are still people convinced that the egalitarian definition still applies, but they're the type that stay ignorant, and end up only furthering the harm of its current usage.

The left adores their word games, and it's semi-disturbing how many on here play into it.

It's a bit convenient, considering that their genocidal ambitions were known when there was still a Tsar.
