However, that was yesterday. Today with the President weighing in and various media outlets publishing enough about the Jurors that could lead to them being identified the defense could very well bring up another motion for mistrial citing jury tampering.
The biggest problem is that Chavin is likely a dead man if he goes to prison before any such appeals would be heard.
And now we have a judicial system that can be threatened with political violence in order to get it to ignore certain cases.
