Did people hate it? I know people definitely started hating it at the third film.

I thought the 3rd one was trash, tbh. Boring and they turned bad ass Ethan into a whiny scrub.

I liked it, but it was a much simpler plotline than the original which is still my favorite movie of the bunch.

Fun fact: MI:2 was the first movie I tried to pirate. Over dial-up. I think I ended up downloading a good 3 minutes of a camrip over the course of some weeks before finally giving up.
