I remember seeing an interview with some leader of some gay rights group on Global BC just after gay marriage was legalized. The reporter asked him, that, since all the rights the group was fighting for would be disbanded, he said "No, because people don't love us enough yet".
I can't describe in words the emotions I felt at that moment, but they ran towards anger and betrayal.
