The young and healthy should get it to build up a herd immunity to decrease the risk of transmitting it to the old and unhealthy. This is how we handle other viruses which are effectively harmless to the young but potentially deadly to the elderly (eg. chickenpox). But there's no potential for grift in taking that approach, so we'll never take it.
